TREEIB

Mature trees are essential in mitigating the effects of climate change on our living environment. The TREEIB Water Bag is specifically designed to provide large, existing trees in public spaces with the right amount of water.

TREEIB 1500 L

The TREEIB 1500L water bag helps large, mature trees in public spaces receive the right amount of water. Mature trees are invaluable in reducing the increasing impact of climate change on our environment. TREEIB 1500L provides mature and monumental trees with support during periods of drought.

Water release

Within 8-12 hours (on a grass surface), the water seeps out through openings evenly distributed across the bottom of the TREEIB water bag. On rougher or uneven surfaces, such as gravel, the water release time may be shorter. On smoother surfaces, such as sawn stone paving with narrow joints, the water release will take slightly longer.

TREEIB 1500L application

The TREEIB 1500L water bag has a quarter-circle shape. When four water bags are joined around the tree, a 7-metre circle is formed. If the tree’s canopy drip line is more than 3.5 metres from the centre of the trunk, the bags can be placed further from the trunk to follow the drip line. Larger gaps between the bags do not affect the effectiveness of watering. Where the tree requires more than 6000 litres of water, more than 4 bags can be used to evenly distribute the water over the area with a high concentration of feeder roots.

TREEIB 430 L

The TREEIB 430L water bag is specifically designed for watering large and mature trees in public spaces. Especially in places where the TREEIB 1500L cannot be placed, such as near roads or areas where the bag cannot be moved, the flexible TREEIB 430L offers a solution. The TREEIB 430L is specially equipped with anchor loops as an optional safety feature. These loops are suitable for threading plastic, aramid, or steel cables that can be secured around the trunk of the tree.

Water release

The water release time depends on the surface beneath the bag. The standard time for water release on hard surfaces is 20-22 hours, while on grass surfaces, it is 8-9 hours. Water seeps out through openings evenly distributed across the bottom of the TREEIB water bag.

TREEIB 430L application

The TREEIB 430L water bag has a rectangular shape. It is easy to place and has the flexibility to connect multiple bags together. For optimal performance, we recommend placing the bags on or beyond the tree’s canopy drip line. Soil contamination is an exception to this rule. If there is a high likelihood that the soil is contaminated with dog urine or road salt, we recommend placing 3 bags in a U-shape or 4 bags in a square shape close to the tree trunk and filling them to the brim. This way, the TREEIB 430L water bags ensure that contaminants are flushed away from the root zone.
