The wooden revetment around a pond collapsed because the backfilled soil caused excessive lateral pressure. GreenMax carried out initial load calculations and a field test to assess the local soil conditions and anchor load capacity. Based on this, 240 Vulcan Earth Anchors (AS90) were selected and installed, ensuring the revetment is now stabilised in a durable and future-proof way.

The wooden revetment around the pond collapsed when the surrounding ground was filled. Due to the additional pressure from the new soil package, the existing structure could no longer withstand the load. The revetment was likely not designed for these lateral forces or already showed weak points. As a result, the structure gave way in several places, leading to collapse.

We started by carrying out initial load calculations to determine exactly which forces act on the revetment. On site, we conducted a practical field test to verify the performance and load capacity of the anchors under local soil conditions. This test enabled us to confirm the reliability of the system and refine the design where necessary. Based on all results, we selected 240 Vulcan Earth Anchors of the AS90 type, which together provide a durable and future-proof stabilisation of the revetment.
